What is commodity processing?
We help schools add value to raw, hard-to-use, donated food. We help convert diverted commodities into single-service items. As a USDA nationally approved processor, we help make the commodity diversion process simple so schools are able to feed their students with the best food at the best value. We work closely with K-12 schools to help them navigate the Commodity Processing process, set up appropriate contracts and fulfill them by manufacturing and delivering single-serving products to be used in food service programs. We value our role in contributing to better quality and more wholesome menu options for the nation’s children while helping school districts realize substantial savings.
Do your items meet NSLP child nutrition guidelines?
We understand that the NSLP recommendations are always changing. We source K-12 items with these specific nutritional targets in mind. All K-12 focused products will have nutritional data available and will list a suggested meal pattern contribution.
